The programs at James Reese CTC will provide you with extensive hands-on learning experiences in preparation for your post-secondary college and career goals. Coursework offered at the James Reese CTC provides students with the opportunity to earn program specific industry certifications while acquiring communication, collaboration, creativity, critical thinking, and technical skills.

IMPORTANT: Prior to beginning the interest form, please ensure that your contact information, phone number, email etc. is current in our student information system (Skyward). If your email address, physical address, or phone number is not correct, you may not receive important notifications regarding your application. Any corrections must be made at your current campus.

Enrollment into a FBISD Career and Technical Education program offered at the James Reese CTC is dependent upon students completing all required documents, meeting course pre-requisites, adequate progress toward graduation, and available space. As such, the interest form process contains qualifying questions and considers transcript, discipline, and attendance data available through the Student Information System. Placement into one of the FBISD Career and Technical Education programs at James Reese CTC is a competitive process when space is limited. CTE receives funding through numerous avenues including but not limited to the Perkins Grant. In accordance with funding and governmental regulations, the interest forms are reviewed without consideration of race, color, religion, gender, sex, national origin, disability and/or age. Your interest form will be evaluated, and you will be contacted via email regarding status.

• Some programs will list pre-requisite courses. If a student has not had the required pre-requisite courses, a student will not be admitted into the program.
• The instructional hours at James Reese CTC differ from those on home campuses. Students may choose to use district provided transportation to and from their home campus; pick up and drop off times are determined by the student assigned schedule. Traditional bus travel times may not line up with departure and return times to and from James Reese CTC. This will require students to provide their own transportation to and from their high school campus either before or after school.
• Due to the hands-on nature of these courses, in-person participation is a requirement. Students assigned to alternative learning environments will be removed from the courses offered at the James Reese CTC. Students will not be eligible to return during the current school year but will be eligible to submit an interest form to return the following school year.
• All CTE programs offered at James Reese CTC require students to wear industry and program specific uniforms on a daily basis. School owned uniforms will be issued to students. In the event that a student wishes to purchase their own uniform, they will have the opportunity to do so.
• Some CTE programs offered at James Reese CTC require student purchased tools and equipment.
• CTE offers need based scholarships to offset the expense of required tools and equipment. Students accepted into programs at Reese Center may apply for the need-based scholarship. Students who meet the need requirements MAY receive a partial or full scholarship to off-set costs.
• Some CTE programs offered at James Reese CTC require participation in lab hours outside of standard school hours. Students must provide their own transportation to and from labs offered in the evenings, summers, and on weekends. Participation in lab hours is an expected portion of the program; participation will impact the student's grade. Continuation into the second year of these programs is dependent upon successful completion of the required lab hours.
